Summer, Xmas and an end-of-year assembly
Friday 16th December 2005
Whew! It's really SCORCHING over here...yesterday it was like 30 degrees!
I almost fainted from the heat, not to mention sweat buckets..I was literally
a human sweatball. >-< Not nice. Today wasn't as bad, and since its
almost the end of the year we got to watch a DVD: 'The pacifier' starring
Vin Diesel. It was SO funny lol! We also had the rehearsal for the Year 8
Assembly on Monday. I'm performing in choir and orchestra, so it was a bit
embarrasing having to run across the stage after choir has performed to where
the orchestra is set up...T-T And also it was really annoying
because we had these new 'touch sensitive' keyboards (Ooops! I forgot to mention
I played the paino & keyboard...) that where really weird as you had to
apply the same amount of pressure to each note, otherwise the song will go
quite then loud then quite. So basically, there was the whole orchestra, playing
a lovely legato (smooth) piece, while me and the other keybaord player were
hammering at the keyboards trying to make each note be heard. The results
were that there were frequent jumpy and loud notes issuing from the keyboards.
Luckily, we talked with the music teacher and she has agreed to let us use
the old keyboards on Monday. Thank God.
I also think I've got a bit of a cold, as I keep sneezing when its the hottest summer ever...I mean what
normal person does that? So now all I can hope is I get better in the weekends
as its the social on Monday night. Its going to be a night to remember lol!
^-^ After school ends on Tuesday, it'll be full on packing as my family's
going away on holiday for 2 weeks. *groans* I really can't say I'm looking
forward to it....rather stay home. *sighs* Anyway, I have to go now. Thanks
Suzy for commenting! Toodles!
Me=Happpy person! =D
Sunday 4th December 2005
YAY!!!!! I FINALLY have a cellphone!! After a whole year of arguing, my mum
has finally allowed me to get a cellphone. Though its a 2nd hand 1 that my
uncle gave me, its still very workable. (not to mention small!) Sadly I had
to go on Vodafone because it uses a sim card, and only Vodafone has sim cards.
Still I'm very happy with it, mainly because it has heaps of games! ^o^ Another
reason for my unsual cheerfulness is because its almost the end of the year,
meaning Christmas and end of school! Mind you, I sort of don't want school
to end cos its my last year at Hutt Intermediate. >_< And High School
sounds SCARY. O_O Anywho, tomorrow I've got class debates...mind you I'm sort
of looking forward to it as well....only sorta though. Then there's social
dancing on Tuesday (Incase your wondering, we- the year eights- are learning
social dancing in practice for the end of year graduation social) with the
ALL the year eights....total pandemonium. (imagine 300 crazy, nervous and
excited 13 year olds in 1 hall with only a few teachers to try and organize
them into the dance formation...) And after that, we've got House Carols,
where the 4 houses in our school (like in Harry Potter, but there isn't any
pacticular talents to each house) compete to see who can sing a Xmas carol
the best. T_T (I don't know HOW teachers come up with these things.) Whopdeedoo.
We're (My house, the white one Burns) are doing (would you believe it?) Jingle
Bells. The House Captains could've come up with something a teed bit more
original...you know?
I'd better go now. Thanks for everyone who commented before! <3 Jeannie
Hungary, aching and exhausted
Saturday 26th November 2005
I swear every single bone in my body is aching right now. Now I know what
they mean by shop till you drop, as I've just spent the whole day browsing
through every shop in the mall, looking for some new swimming togs. And
I didn't even find any suitable ones. So unfair. Anyway, nothing exciting
happened apart from the fact that I FINALLY GOT TO SEE HARRY POTTER AND THE
GOBLET OF FIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ^o^ Just had to get that out of my system!
It was awesome, but very different from the other films as it's directed by
Mike something-a-rather. There was humor. Alot of it, and it was very, very
scary in some parts. (Believe me it is. I actually found myself fearing for
Harry's life in some parts, even though I already knew what was going to happen.)
The end was very sad though. I'll leave it at that. (Don't want to go spoiling
it for you! ^^) A few tears sort of um...'escaped', but it happens you know?
My friend who also had some stubborn tears that leaked out was less fortunate.
Her mascara was rendered useless, and it looked like she had huge, black bags
under her eyes. Not a pretty sight. It was a night to remember, not just because
of Harry Potter but because...well because my friend acccidentally told my
other friend who my crush was because she didn't know that my other friend
(the one she told) didn't know. Whew! That was confusing. Currently,
I'm in a lot better state then I was Friday night. But everytime I think about
school, I could just fall asleep with boredom. Literally. It's just so BORING.
Anyway, I had better go. Mum's making sushi for dinner...my mouth is already
watering.
Yella!
Monday 21st November 2005
I've just been looking at Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire showing times.
^^ Saw the behind the scenes yesterday on TV, and it looks AWESOME!!! So not
fair that I have to wait 2 more days! Anyway, I'm a bit bored right now. Of
course I've got homework to do, but who wants to to maths? I'm currently reading
the Amulet of Samarand by Johnathan Shroud. A really good book (but
then again I say that about most books ^-^) The last book in the trilogy has
just come out recently, so I thought it was time I'd read it. I went to see
a Christmas parade on Sunday, and I got free CHOCOLATE!!!! Yummyyy! Apart
from that, the parade in itself wasn't that great, as there were big gaps
between each float, so you had huge periods of waiting. But they did get creative
this year, by having giant party poppers that shot very long ribbons
10 feet into the air. Quite spectacular but a little dangerous as they got
tangeled up in the wires and lamp posts. Sigh. I'm suppose to be off by now,
but it wouldn't hurt to stay on for another minute. (Don't tell anyone! ^-^)
I've also just finished Angela's birthday gift! She's turning 16 tomorrow,
so happy birthday to her! And oh yeah, thanks to everyone who commented on
the layout and change...Love ya all!
I'm Back!
Friday 18th November 2005
Yes I am! It's been absolute AGES I know, but I have been working furiously for
the past 2 days to get the new layout up. Thanks to Angela and Cindy for their
support. ^-^ The reason that it took so long to get this layout up is the fact
that I haven't touched this site since last century (or it seems) so everything
was in a right old mess. Now it's all sorted however, so alls well! I'm feeling
pretty tired right now. School wasn't that fun (if you know what I mean) and
I'm just looking forward to a weekend of relaxation. After I finish my homework
of course. I'm also being 'restricted' to the computer, so I try my best to
make do with the time I got. I can't wait till next week when Harry Potter and
the Goblet of Fire is released. I'm positively BURSTING with anticipation....it's
going to be GREAT!!! Cant be on too long, so I'd better round up now. Till next
time!
Hang on...what's this?
