Harry Potter Series:

The latest Harry Potter book: Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

Need I say more? This is a supercallifragilisticexpeallidoshously supercallifragilisticexpeallidoshous Series!

Rating:11/10!

Tamora Pierce

Song of the Lioness quartert-The Immortals quartert-Protector of the Small quartert-Trickster's duo:

Protector of the Small: First Test

Set in the medi-evil time country Tortall, this 3 quartert + 1 duo set is a continuum of each other, with intense plots, romantic romances, hilarious moments, LOADS of sticky situations and much MUCH more! Starting with the adventures of Alanna, a girl who wants to be a knight, these books cleverly overlap each other's stories ending with Alianne-Alanna's 16-year-old daughter who's as fiery as she is. Head over to links for Tamora Pierce's website!

Circle of magic quartert-The Circle Opens quartert-Circle Reforged Empress's Will:

Circle of Magic: Sandry's Book (AKA Magic n the Weaving)

I LOVE this series. It's set in a different realm from Tortall, and is absolutely AWESOME. (But I still like the Tortall ones better.) Based on 4 disaster-struck children and their new life with their saviour, teacher and friend: Niklaren Goldeye. Discovering that they have powerful magic inside that needs to be tamed, they face earthquakes, pirate attacks, forest fires and deadly plaques. The story follows them all the way till teenage-hood, with lots of wild adventures in between.

Philip Pullman

His Dark Materials trilogy:

The Trilogy: Northern Lights, Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass

I was obsessed with these 3 books last year, and I've probably read the 3rd one (the Amber Spyglass- and my favourite) a million times. It begins in a alternate universe from ours, and goes on TO ours in the 2nd book. We first meet Lyra in her own world, a adventurous and curious 12-year-old who ges into fixes. Then, journeying to our world we meet Will, strong minded, serious, and filled with love for his unwell mother. Together they learn about thier destiny and many other things along the way too. Philip Pullman spins a wonderful tale of discovery, friendship, love, mystery, and is guarateed a page-turner.The plot-line is a guaranteed original, and I just adore this series!! =D

Rating:10/10

Sally Lockhart quartert:

A wonderfully spun victorian mystery quartert set in London, with sly, twisted plots that will keep you guessing. It all begins when 16-year-old Sally Lockhart's father dies, and she's left alone to unwound her own future and its many unanswered questions. I was sucked into the story when I first read it, and still am.

Brian Jacques

Tales of Redwall series:

Rakkety Tam and Loamhedge, two of the recent releases

With now 17 books in the series, this brilliantly colourful animal world is as real as anything. With delicious dishes, evil plots, happy reunions, and unforgettable endings, I fell in love with this series. Martin the Warrior is the hero, spirit and guide to Redwall Abbey, so the tale (originally) began with him, and his triumph over the evil tryran Baddrang. The reading order is a bit muddled, but here is the complete right reading order of books(According to me anyway):

Lord Brocktree
Martin the Warrior
Mossflower
Legend of Luke
Outcast of Redwall
Mariel of Redwall
Bellmaker
Salamadastron
Redwall
Mattemio
Pearls of Lutra
Long Patrol
Marlfox
Loamhedge
Triss
The Taggerung
Rakkety Tam

Emily Rodda

Deltora Quest:

Deltora Quest 3: Dragon's Nest, Shadowgate, Isle of the Dead and Sister of the South

Full of twists and turns, theis series had NEVER failed to surprised me. Based on the adventures of 16-year-old Lief and his friends: wild Jasmine and Grim Barda. It follows his adventures to restore the legendary Belt of Deltora and find the Royal Heir. In Deltora Quest 2 Lief and his friends sets of this time to find the 3 pieces of the legendary Pirran Pipe and use its powers to defeat the evil Shadow Lord who still hold many slaves in his lands. In the final series, Deltora Quest 3, Lief discovers a terrible secret, the Shadow Lord's last effort. So another journey across Deltora is made, learning and making aquaintence with the Dragons of old.

The series is great no doubt about that, but the book are rather short. I would recommend you to read it, but its more for the people who likes short, action-packed books rather than those who likes a good looong book to read. (like me! =p)

Rating: 8/10

Rowan of Rin:

The new cover of Rowan of Rin

Just like Deltora Quest, Emily Rodda keeps you guessing till the end. All 5 books are focused on Rowan, a young boy living in the Village of Rin. He seeks advice from Sheba, a hedgewitch, and recieves cryptic clues to the danger ahead. He meets travellers, Zebaks and Crystal Keepers, and is the most unexpected hero.

Garth Nix

Keys to the Kingdom Series:

The first 3 books in the series

A really well written series, with lotsa action and imagination put into it. The plots fairly original, and like many books, it has that quality that makes you want more!! About a boy called Arthur who's you everyday kid with bad asthma, he takes on a breath-taking adventure into the 'House' and becomes the unlikely 'Rightful Heir'. This series is imagination gone wild but still wonderfully believable..I definitly recommend it to fantasy lovers ^-^

Rating:8/10

Old Kingdom trilogy

Another amazing series by Garth Nix. The plot is just so unexpected and different! This time, the story takes us to a place called the 'Old Kingdom', country ruled by magic and the dead, separated from 'Our world', by a border. Sabriel is the daughter of the Abhorsen, the legendary Necromancer that protects lives on both sides of the border from the dead. And, as Sabriel takes up her father's mantel she collides head on with an evil 'greater dead' out to ruin her life.
